What Kurr is

Kurr is an anonymous, text-only community app. Users can share thoughts, opinions, questions, and experiences as posts, and interact with other users' posts through likes and comments. There are no profiles, follower counts, or direct messages — just posts and the conversations that grow around them.

Why Kurr was created

Many social apps ask you to build a profile, attach your name and photo, and perform for an audience before you can say anything at all. Kurr was built around a simpler idea: sometimes people just want to say what they're thinking, ask a question they wouldn't ask under their own name, or share an experience without it becoming part of a public personal record. Removing identity from the equation is intended to make it easier to speak openly — while our Community Guidelines and moderation process aim to keep that openness from turning into harm.

What you can do on Kurr

• Create an account without an email, phone number, or name
• Share text posts with the community
• React to posts you agree with, disagree with, or relate to
• Comment and reply to join a discussion
• Report posts or comments that break the Community Guidelines
• Delete your own posts, comments, or account at any time

Anonymous discussions, explained

On Kurr, your account isn't tied to your name, email, or phone number — it's identified only by a randomly generated ID and a recovery code that lets you get back into your account. Every post and comment is shown to other users as "Anonymous." This is meant to lower the barrier to honest conversation, not to provide a shield for behavior that would otherwise break our guidelines — reported content is still reviewed, and accounts that violate our Community Guidelines can be restricted.

Our goal: a respectful community

Anonymity works best in a community that still holds itself to a standard of respect. Kurr combines user reporting with a review process so that harmful content — harassment, hate speech, threats, and similar behavior — can be identified and addressed, while everyday honest conversation is left alone.
