Terms of Service
Kurr — Anonymous Community App · Last updated: 11 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kurr mobile application (the "App", "Kurr", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using Kurr, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or otherwise using Kurr, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Child Safety Standards, each of which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you are using Kurr on behalf of yourself, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Eligibility
Kurr is intended for users aged 13 years and older, or the minimum age required in your country, whichever is higher, consistent with our Privacy Policy and Child Safety Standards. By using Kurr, you represent that you meet this age requirement. We may require you to stop using the App, or may suspend or terminate your account, if we determine you do not meet these requirements or that your use of the App is prohibited by law in your location.
3. Anonymous accounts
Kurr accounts are anonymous and identified by a system-generated ID and a recovery code rather than a name, email address, or phone number, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your recovery code safe and confidential — it is the only way to recover your account, and we cannot reset or recover it for you because we never store the code itself, only a one-way hash of it;
- All activity that occurs through your account, whether or not you authorized it;
- Not sharing, selling, or transferring your account or recovery code to anyone else;
- Not creating multiple accounts to evade a ban, manipulate reactions or reports, or otherwise abuse the App.
Because Kurr accounts are not tied to any personal identifier, we have no way to verify who is behind an account or to restore access without a valid recovery code. Use the App accordingly.
4. User content and license
"User Content" means any posts, comments, replies, reactions, or other material you submit to Kurr. You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Kurr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the App (for example, showing your post in the feed and in comment threads to other users).
You represent and warrant that:
- You own your User Content, or have all rights and permissions necessary to post it;
- Your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party (including intellectual property or privacy rights); and
- Your User Content complies with these Terms and our Community Guidelines.
Because posts are shown to other users as "Anonymous," please do not include personal or sensitive information about yourself or others in your User Content. You may delete your own posts and comments at any time from within the App.
5. Acceptable use
Use of Kurr is subject to our Community Guidelines, which describe prohibited content and behavior in detail. In addition, you agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means (bots, scripts) to access, collect data from, or interact with the App without our prior written consent;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Kurr's systems, other users' accounts, or interfere with the security or normal operation of the App;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by law;
- Impersonate Kurr, its staff, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Use the App to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited advertising.
6. Moderation and enforcement
Kurr uses a combination of automated content filtering and report-based human review to help enforce these Terms and our Community Guidelines, as described on that page. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that we may, at our discretion and with or without prior notice:
- Review, remove, hide, or place under review any User Content that we believe violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law;
- Restrict, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms, repeatedly or severely violate our Community Guidelines, or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or abusively;
- Take no action on content or accounts that we determine, after review, do not violate our policies.
We aim to act on reports promptly, but we do not guarantee that any particular piece of content will be reviewed or removed within a specific timeframe, and we are not obligated to monitor all content posted to the App.
7. Termination
You may stop using Kurr, and delete your account, at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account is permanent and will remove your posts, comments, reactions, reports, and account record as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law, or if we discontinue the App entirely. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 13) will continue to apply after your account is terminated or deleted.
8. Advertising
Kurr displays advertising through Google AdMob to help support the App as a free service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Advertisements are selected and served by Google and its advertising partners; Kurr does not create or control the content of individual ads and is not responsible for the products, services, or content advertised by third parties. Your interactions with any ad (including any purchase or engagement) are solely between you and the advertiser.
9. Third-party services and links
The App relies on third-party service providers (such as Google Firebase for notifications and Google AdMob for advertising) to operate, as described in our Privacy Policy. User Content posted on Kurr may also contain links to third-party websites. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party sites, services, or content, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. Kurr is a user-generated, anonymous platform — we do not endorse, and are not responsible for, the accuracy, reliability, or opinions expressed in any User Content, even where such content has passed moderation review.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KURR AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE APP OR ANY USER CONTENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT, IF ANY, YOU PAID US TO USE THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (WHICH, FOR MOST USERS, WILL BE ZERO, AS KURR IS FREE TO USE). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kurr and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply in your jurisdiction, you agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or for legal or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should stop using the App and may delete your account.
15. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Child Safety Standards, constitute the entire agreement between you and Kurr regarding your use of the App.
